The pastoral department in our branch campus in Cuenca held a forum titled “Don Bosco Green Alliance” which seeks to promote sustainable practices and respect for the environment. The aim is to empower new generations to become agents of change and build a fairer future for all. Professors, researchers and students from several majors attended the event. 

During the event, they presented a short film titled “La Voz de la Tierra” produced by the theater company: Jizi Ragazzi, and winner of the Festival Global de Cine Juvenil Don Bosco. The film stresses the importance of caring for our planet. 

Fredy Portilla, professor-researcher, called for environmental awareness, he stressed the importance of reforestation and the protection of water sources, he also spoke about ways to prevent the spread of pollution. 

The university is an active part of environmental care, we have programs in agroecology and water resources that provide our students with the tools needed to contribute to our planet’s wellbeing, stated professor Ernesto Delgado.
