Cuenca, jueves 10 julio 2025

Our branch campus in Cuenca held a ceremony for the placement of the first stone of a new building. The ceremony represents the university’s growth and optimization of its students’ education.

University officials, members of the university council , members of salesian organizations, representatives from the municipality of Cuenca and the university community attended the ceremony to witness the university’s commitment to quality education, innovation and community service.

The new building will feature modern, functional spaces adapted to the pedagogical, technological, and administrative demands of today's higher education. The project includes:

• 6 levels: a basement, a ground floor, and four upper floors.

• 4,550 m² of construction.

• 5 specialized laboratories.

• Administrative areas

• Occupancy of about 750 people: 576 students and 174 faculty members.

This infrastructure responds to the constant growth of the student community and the expansion of new majors. It is part of the Institutional Development Strategic Plan, which seeks to expand academic coverage, optimize resources, and enrich the student experience.

This project is part of other significant investments made by the university on campus, such as the construction of the new administrative building and modern parking lots, all aimed at improving the safety and well-being of the entire university community.
