Augusto Rodriguez, a poet, an editor, a writer and a professor at UPS-Guayaquil, represented Ecuador in the 25th International Poetry Festival Medellin 2015 and presented his paper titled ""La poesía joven y en defensa de la tierra".

This international poetry and literature event was held in Medellin, Colombia from the 12th to the 18th of July in the Caracas Grand Hotel, where they also held the "First International Meeting of Young Poets". 

The participants of this event were:  Carlos Andrés Jaramillo, Felipe López, Ronald Cano, Yenny León, Edwin Rendón, Felipe Posada, Diana Pizarro, Camilo Restrepo, Isabel Dunas. Ángela Suárez, all from Colombia; and David Wa Maahlamela (South Africa), Jamila Medina (Cuba), Augusto Rodríguez (Ecuador), Oscar Saavedra Villarroel (Chile), Magdalena Camargo (Panamá), Robin Myers (USA), Basir Ahang(Nación Hazara, Afganistán). María Augustina Hancu (Moldavia), Rafael Lechowski (Spain), Marko Pogacar (Croatia), TJ Dema (Botsuana).

Ecuadorian poet Augusto Rodriguez presented his literary work such as "Poetas Jóvenes y defensa de la tierra", "La juventud y la poesía", "Como la poesía ha incidido en el lenguaje de la juventud? Poeta joven y cambio", "Como un joven poeta genera cambio?", "Jóvenes poetas del mundo", "Encuentro de  Coordinadores del Movimiento Poético Mundial", and others.
