According to Alexa Internet Inc., a subsidiary of Amazon.com, which provides information about the number of visits a website gets, the university's website is one of the most visited sites in Ecuador and stands out among sites from other Universities and Institutes of Higher Education (IES ) in the country.

Alexa ranks web sites and in December 2015 the UPS web site  www.ups.edu  clearly led ranking by having reached nearly nine million visits throughout the year.

SimilarWeb, which gives an updated monthly ranking since 2013 and analyzes over 80 million websites worldwide, also highlights the UPS website among other higher education institutions in Ecuador for the traffic it has generated on the web , showing a trend of improvement in three indicators.

This information is complemented by significant use of Teacher Blogs and Research Blogs at UPS, which significantly increased in the last year. The platform manager said the teacher blogs went from 50 gigabytes of traffic recorded in November 2014 to 600 gigabytes in February 2016. The increase in traffic in the blogs have both "input" and " output " , which means an increase in the number of users visiting these areas as well as greater number of teachers using these tools to support the teaching - learning process.

As for research, UPS is currently completing its platform of websites for research groups www.blog.ups.edu.ec ( link http://blog.ups.edu.ec/grupos-de -gnvestigacion), and at present it has 24 groups in Cuenca, Quito and Guayaquil offices groups.

The university website has news, current events, academic information about undergraduate programs , admissions, the registration process,  the history of the University , its constituent documents and everything related to its administration such as transparency reports , policies, codes , etc. RESEARCH lines and groups, college life, UPS CHANNEL and Virtual Tours of the campus, these are only part of the content, services and information that can be found in the UPS website.

UPS would like to thank everyone in the University for their hard and continuous work in helping the development of the university's website.
