UPS-Quito students collected donations for those affected by the earthquake

More than 6,000 students from several majos at UPS- Quito helped asemble 3,000 kits of food, toiletries and water bottles that will be sent to the victims of the earthquake that hit the Ecuadorian coast on April 16.

The university's help is part of all the work done by the Ecuadorian Network of Universities (REDU). Students, faculty and staff gathered at the Coliseum to help fill the truck bound for the coast. 

Campus El Giron collected donations from about 4,655 students, Campus Sur from 1,577 students and in campus Kennedy from about 593 students, this added to the contributions of administrative staff, teachers and outsiders who came to UPS with their donations. 

Students who would like to volunteer and continue working with this campaign can register at the student services office in UPS Quito's campuses.
