UPS President Javier Herran presided the ceremony of inauguration of the new board members that will lead the university's workers association ADETUPS for the 2016 -2018 period. 

Oswaldo Zumba, president of the electoral court, presented the results and announced the new members; Diego Chacon will now lead the association along with Bertha Tacuri, vice president.

Father Herran thanked the outgoing members for their work and congratulated the new ones. He spoke about the responsibility of keeping this association active and seeking benefits for all the workers.

He then officially named the new members, who said are committed to working hard and strengthening the association. The new president, Diego Chacon Troya, thanked everyone for their support and committed himself to working hard for everyone's wellbeing.

The outgoing president, Flavio Quizhpi, thanked all the members of the association and university officials for all their support during his five years in office. He was also very thankful with the rest of the board members who were a fundamental part of all the work done during his term.
