The university's "Carneras" women's soccer team beat the "Galapagos" team 3 – 0 and made it to the second phase of the national tournament. The game was played on Sunday, November 20th in the university's "Valeriano Gavinelli, Gavicho" soccer field.

Carneras showed their superiority from the start of the match and in the 7th minute of the game Yolima Paiz scored the first goal for the Carneras.

In the 24th minute, Yolima Paiz scored her second goal and the 66th minute of the match, Jenny Estrada scored the third goal. 

The players, coaches and directors celebrated the team's classification to the second phase of the tournament. They were pleased with the results and said they would keep working hard in the tournament.
