UPS journals improve their position in Google Scholar

A journal's reputation and reliability should be the most important criteria when choosing a means to publish research results.

Universidad Politecnica Salesiana, thanks to work carried out by its editorial team and the editors of its six journals, has increased the impact of its scientific publications and improved the visibility of these journals within the scientific community.

Thanks to all the work carried out for over a year, UPS has managed to improve the position of its journals in Google Scholar, and obtained relevant impact indicators regarding the published articles and the quantity and quality of the citations.

For the university's general editor, Luis Alvarez, "the dissemination of university thought is a question of priority and the university has assumed the responsibility of improving the work of journals. After complying with strict requirements of international indicators, the publications have improved its positioning, H index and publications included within Google Scholar, which is considered an Open Access search engine of scientific literature with a high impact in academic socities.  

In the following chart there are 3 elements:

Citations: Refers to the total number of citations received in every journal

H index: a metric used to calculate the number of articles that have been cited "H" number of time, in other words, if the index is 3 it means there are at least 3 publications that have cited.

i10 index: Articles that have been cited at least 10 times
