UPS and the Alliance Francaise in Guayaquil paid tribute to music by holding the "2015 Music Festival", it was the 16th edition of the festival.

The festival was held on June 19th in the Campus Centenario Auditorium; pianist Marco Aguirre Reinel, the band Pepper, SONADMA, and the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral's choir performed for the attendees. 

Lucas Velasco, Ruth Díaz, Carlos Bolaños, Fabián González, Valeria Ortega and Ekaterina Poukhiria, also performed their repertoire during the event, they played "La Vendetta", "Le Nozze di Figaro" and "Parlami d Amore Mariu.

Ruth Diaz said "Just like Friedrich Nietzxche said, without music life would be a mistake- and that's why UPS disseminates art, culture and music since they create criteria and academic knowledge which complement our students' artistic expression.
