Representatives from the university's Coworking StartUPS program were invited to take part in the event titled "Academic Development Seminar 2018" which was organized by the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. They were part of the round table where the topic was "Entrepreneurship 360: educating citizens to create a social impact". The aim of this talk was to learn about students' education in entrepreneurship and how the university supports innovative projects.

Our university representatives were there to talk about the experience of the Coworking StartUPS project, an ecosystem of professional and personal development for students that has held several training events such entrepreneurship boot camps where students present innovative projects that can be beneficial for society, mentoring schools that prepare students to be in charge of the coworking offices in the university and training sessions that prepare professors to be become mentors and guide their students.

Belen Soriano, representative of the university's StartUPS ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, said this event was really productive in order to learn about experiences, cultures and processes of other universities that have focused on teaching their students through real life situations where they have to find innovative solutions to problems. "The university's StartUPS project has been successful regarding other universities that have also decided to implement this new educational perspective", she said.

During this event there were talks and workshops to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. The event was attended by Salvatore Patera, professor at Universidad de Salento, Italy, and Tomas de Lara, Co-Leader Empresas Sistema B Brasil- RJ. They both motivated participants to build knowledge and create a new future for education.
