24 students from the intercultural education undergraduate program in the university's branch campus in Quito presented their graduation projects based on a new methodology which is case studies, debates and further research on the topic.

The aim is that students create an educational product such as book or other didactic material to solve problems of schools in the area.

Some of the projects were:

- A book to learn numbers in Achuar

- Access to higher education for Achuar women

- A teacher's guide for reading – writing in Achuar

- Systematization of knowledge on parenting

"Knowing how they carried out their work gives us the guidelines to know the process, the successes or difficulties so that we can improve, correct or strengthen the practices of our students ", says Sebastián Granda, director of the program.

It is the fourth promotion (80 students) that obtains professional degrees in intercultural education. For Granda, the training of bilingual teachers strengthens and improves the quality of education at the primary and secondary levels. At the end of the day, José Juncosa, Vice president of the university's campus in Quito, invited the students to the ceremony, that will be held soon, to receive their professional degree
