The Coworking StartUPS office in the university organized the campaign "Donate your teddy bear and make a child happy" and managed to collect teddy bears for over 200 boys and girls in Cuenca, Guayaquil and Quito during the month that celebrates children's day. 

This campaign started in 2017 in order to pay tribute to children in difficult circumstances, with disabilities or in risky situations.  

For the campaign students were asked to donate teddy bears in the coworking offices during the months of May and June so as to later donate them to children in several sectors.

Alejandra Ordoñez, coordinator of Coworking StartUPS in Cuenca, said that this year the campaign was also carried out in the university's other two branches. The work was organized by the students federation (FEUPS). 

The university's branch campus Quito and the Foundation "Chicos de la Calle" organized a special event with games and other activities for children. While in Guayaquil the coworking office and "Global Smile" Foundation visited "Leon Becerra" hospital to donate the teddy bears
