The university held the 5th International Dance Festival

For the fifth consecutive year our university held the International Dance Festival titled "Con el Folklore en la Sangre". The festival was held from August 31st to September 6th and there were national and international dance groups from universities and academies.
 
The groups that took part of the festival were:
 
- Compañía de Tango y Folclore de Zárate de Buenos Aires (Argentina) 
 
- Ballet Juvenil Danzarias (Bucay) 
 
- Inti Allpa (Quito) 
 
- Shuck Llactapac Shunku (Cuenca) 
 
- Urcuyaya (Quito) 
 
- Ballet Folclórico Espol (Guayaquil) 
 
- Compañía de Danzas Tangaré Agrupación de danza Unemi (Milagro) 
 
- Grupo de Danza Ecuatoriana 
 
- Grupo de Danzas Folclóricas 
 
- Agrupaciones folclóricas from Cuenca, Guayaquil and Quito 
 
The groups danced to several rythyms such as tango, andean dances, pasacalles, vals argentino and others. "We presented several dances from our country. "This festival has welcomed us in an excellent manner", said Marcela Corvalan, director of Compañía de Tango y Folclore de Zárate from Buenos Aires. 
 
The festival was held in different places: Museo Municipal de la ciudad de Guayaquil, Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, Universidad Estatal de Milagro (UNEMI) and Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL).
