The university's Information and communication technologies for disabilities Research Group (TICAD for its acronym in Spanish) in our branch campus in Guayaquil held an academic event titled "EXPO RAITICs" where students presented several inclusive prototypes.

The aim of the event was to present free software and hardware tools for education, social and work inclusion of people with disabilities. Some of the projects that were presented were:
- Mobile apps

- Communication tablets

- ICTs for inclusion. Adapted toys, 3D printing of didactic resources

- EVIACAM

- JAWS, NVDA

- Braile tools

Participants attended presentations on inclusive ICTs and visited all the stands. "Many of the apps and hardware that was presented are installed in organizations that are part of the Academic Network that supports and conducts research on inclusive technologies (RAITI)", said Alice Naranjo, coordinator of the TICAD research group.

The event was supported by the UNESCO chairs program "Assistive technologies for inclusive education", FUNSIBA, Unidad Educativa Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Ricaurte, FENCE, FACIMAB SPORTING CLUB, ASOCULSOR and RAITI
