Universidad Politecnica Salesiana's (UPS) branch campus in Cuenca and the German Embassy presented the international exhibition: "The German energy transition". The event was attended by students, professors and the overall public in order to learn more about the development of renewable energies, environmental technology, energy policies and future technologies.

UPS president Javier Herran welcomed all the attendees and praised the contribution of the German Embassy to the university, which will help enrich the knowledge of engineering students.

Thomas Klatte, honorary consul of Germany, inaugurated the exhibition and said that it has already been in 40 different countries and in about 80 different places such as universities and centers specializing in energy. He stated that energy transition can only be successful if other fields are also taken into account, such as transport, research and development, international cooperation and citizen participation. 

The exhibition will be held in front of the main secretary's office until April 10th.
