UPS professors will present two papers in the IEEE Colombian Conference

UPS professors and students are the authors and co-authors of two scientific articles that will be presented during the international IEEE Colombian Conference on Communications and Computing from May 13- 15 in the city of Popayán, Colombia. The event is organized by Universidad de Cauca.

Both papers were written based on research from the university's research groups and the cooperation of Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia. These two papers will be published in the IEEE COLCOM 2015 Conference Proceedings and then uploaded to IEEE Xplore, they can also be found in the SCOPUS database. 

The first paper titled "Shortest Path for Optimal Routing on Advanced Metering Infrastructure using Cellular Networks" was written by Esteban Inga Ortega and the co-authors are German Arevalo (UPS), Roberto Hincapié Reyes (Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana) and Carlos Suarez Pozo (UPS student). The second paper titled "Optimum Deployment of FiWi Networks using Wireless Sensors based on Universal Data Aggregation Points" was written by Arturo Peralta Sevilla (UPS-Cuenca)) and the co-authors are Esteban Inga, Jose Cumbal (UPS-Quito) and Roberto Hincapié (Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana)

Esteban Inga will also be one of the speakers at the event, he will present his paper "Shortest Path for Optimal Routing on Advanced Metering Infrastructure using Cellular Networks" and Jose Cumbal will present the paper "Optimum Deployment of FiWi Networks using Wireless Sensors based on Universal Data Aggregation Points".
