"Citizenship Education and Coexistence"

The main authorities from Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, Universidad de Cuenca, Universidad del Azuay, and some relevant organizations in Cuenca got together to discuss the outcomes of the second phase of the "Open Classes on Citizenship Education and Coexistence"

UPS President Javier Herrán opened the event by welcoming the attendees and saying that years ago no one thought that getting the three universities in Cuenca to work together in benefit of the city was possible. Pablo Estrella then thoroughly explained the "Open classes" project and thanked the students from the three universities for participating.

The research groups then presented the outcomes of their research; David Tacuri explained Spirituality, Patricio Gómez explained Interculturality, and finally Johnny Centeno explained Emerging Cultures

The presentations were followed by Universidad de Cuenca President Fabian Carrasco who congratulated the work done by professors, students, and everyone involved in this project.  Blas Garzón presented a video on the work carried out throughout the project.

To close the event, UPS-General Vice President, Luis Tobar Pesántez expressed his satisfaction for the outstanding work the three universities have done so far and encouraged them to continue with inter-institutional activities.
