On August 3rd, Universidad Politécnica Salesiana – Cuenca and Batutas Producciones presented the international band "Macondo Chamber Players" as a tribute to the Chamber of Industries, Production and Employement for its 80 years of service in the city of Cuenca. The concert was held in the university theater as part of the university's "Cultural Fridays" program.
The musicians who performed were:

Andrey Baranov. Winner of the violin competition "Queen Elisabeth-2012". Born in San Petersburgo-Russia.

Carlos Vargas. Founder of Macondo Chamber Players. Dominican pianist who has had concerts in USA, South American and Europe.

Francisco Vila. Cellist from Esmeraldas who studied music in Indiana University, USA with renowned professor Gary Hoffman.
