2,000 new students in Quito

The university's branch in Quito welcomed around 2000 new students who have started the process for being admitted to UPS; there was a cultural program where the university's salesian groups and dance group put on a show.
Edgar Tello, acting vice president in Quito encouraged students to be part of a different educational approach where they are protagonists and professors guide their learning.
Ronald Carillo, from the admissions department, told students about the methodology of the course and the subjects such as reading and writing, developing thinking skills, management and organization of learning and life project. During the first week, students will attend an induction course to learn more about the university.
There were performances by the university's dance group which is led by Jorge Sanchez, the rock-pop band "Promedio Cero", the UPS choir led by Karol Caicedo, and the modern dance group led by Johana Franco.
The National Ballet Dance Group closed the event with a great performance.
