Guayaquil, jueves 29 agosto 2024

Students and graduates from our branch campus in Guayaquil took part in the 2024 Job Fair which was organized in order for our young professionals to have direct communication with the business sector. There were representatives from over 60 companies from the public and private sector.

The fair, which has become an annual tradition, allowed participants to learn about employment options, internships and vocational training programs. Companies from different sectors, such as technology, manufacturing, financial services, and health, offered opportunities for recent graduates and students who are about to complete their programs.

The event also included talks and workshops to strengthen participants’ skills. Topics such as preparing an effective resume, strategies for successful interviews and the importance of soft skills in today's work environment were presented by industry experts.

Monica Marmol, director of community engagement, stressed the importance of this event for the university. “This will strengthen ties between the university and the companies, which will benefit our community and will allow our students to strengthen their skills as professionals”.

The fair represented a valuable opportunity to get closer to the professional world. “It is an excellent idea, since it not only allows us to find out about job offers, but also learn how to talk to recruiters,” said Daniela Alarcón Centeno, student majoring in Biomedicine.
