The computer science undergraduate program in our branch campus in Quito celebrated it 25th anniversary by organizing mass, conferences and a special ceremony which was attended by university officials, professors, students, administrative staff and special guests. 

First, mass was celebrated by Father Patricio Lopez in the university chapel. Then, in the auditorium, Patsy Prieto, director of the computer science program, welcomed everyone and stressed the professional level of their professors. “Our graduates have important jobs in different companies. Our commitment is to provide technological, scientific and academic innovation”, she said. 

Fransisco Alvear, alumnus and now manager of technology infrastructure at TECNASA company, spoke about the technological evolution of data centers and its importance. Galo Montenegro, another former student and coordinator of digital transformation at Produbanco, spoke about business dynamism. 

In the ceremony, university officials awarded prizes to the winners of the programming and networks competition and special recognitions to former professors and officials who have supported the program.
