2nd Industrial Safety and Occupational Health Conference

The industrial engineering major in our branch campus in Guayaquil organized the 2nd Industrial Safety and Occupational Health Conference, an academic event that brought together experts, institutions, and students in order to promote best practices aimed at well-being and prevention in the workplace.

 

During the conference there were interactive workshops, technical presentations, and keynote speeches; all focused on strengthening the commitment to a culture of occupational safety and health, key elements in the training of future industrial engineers.

 

Several institutions provided important information: 

• Fire Department: Guidelines for home fire prevention.

• Municipal Transit Authority (ATM): Virtual reality road safety simulations.

• Guayas Red Cross: First aid training and blood donation campaign.

• Packing Point: Printing services, uniform manufacturing, and advertising solutions.

• Mundo Sano – Multiplagas S.A.: Information on urban pest control and fire protection systems.
 
Keynote speeches:

• “A Culture of Prevention: Key to Reducing Occupational Risks,” presented by Cristian Arias Ulloa, Ph.D., an expert in Health Sciences.

• “Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Occupational Health and Safety Management,” presented by Sergio Núñez Solano, Ph.D., an expert in Industrial Engineering.
