The university's branch campus in Guayaquil and the research group "Ataraxia", presented the book "Hermenéutica, estética y (bio) Política". A book on humanistic reflections from philosophy, theology, art and culture. The book contains contributions from national and international researchers from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Colombia).
The presentation was in charge of the Abya Yala publishing house and coordinated by professors Victor Iza and Jose Miguel Pelaez. The book provides literary tools to promote a fairer and more caring society with ethical and moral character in all contexts. "The Ataraxia research group lines of research are humanities, it seeks to generate scientific contributions of this nature," said Peláez, a researcher who is part of the Ataraxia Group.
The authors stated they conducted research for 12 months based on current problems in society. Some of the topics are: family, education, art, labor exclusion and human dignity. "The book is related to counteracting the facts that we live as a society, its variety of topics enriches the reader's journey", said Pelaez.
According to UPS researchers, the book can be used by students, but primarily by teachers, since it will contain reflections aimed at students in their academic training, from a humanistic point of view, following the university's lines of action.
The Ataraxia research group was created in 2018 in our branch campus in Guayaquil and works continuously on contributions that help the integral development of society.
