Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (UPS) and Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Cuenca signed a cooperation agreement which will allow students majoring in early and basic education to carry out pre professional practices in the hotel's day care center which will soon open. 

The agreement was signed by the university's vice president in Cuenca, Fernando Moscoso, and the Hotel's general manager, Hugo Rivera. The meeting was also attended by Edgar Gordillo, director of the university's community engagement department; Fernando Solorzano, director of the early and basic education undergraduate programs; Mariana Carrillo, professor; Bryan Rosero, the Hotel's HR manager, and Esteban Mejia, the Hotel's security manager. 

Fernando Moscoso was pleased with the signing of the agreeement, he believes the university does not only operate in classrooms, it must be present outdoors with the community and these agreements give students the opportunity to have an up close real experience of their profession that enables them to acquire the skills they need. 

Rivera thanked the university for its cooperation and said the agreement is very positive for the hotel's staff since their children will be looked after and well taken care of by UPS students.
