The Students’ Union inaugurated the 2025 Sports Competition for all majors in the university. The aim is to foster camaraderie among students.

There will be 24 teams competing in sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, and table tennis, in both men's and women's categories. During the opening ceremony, Ana María Gómez, student of the Biotechnology program, was selected as the representative of the competition. The best uniform was awarded, to the Dentistry program, and the Basic and Early Childhood Education program was awarded the best mascot of the event.

This competition not only promotes sports but also integration and teamwork among UPS students. The competitions will take place in the university. “The competition represents camaraderie and togetherness”, said Juan Perez, president of the Students’ Union.
