Politecnica Salesiana University and the Embassy of Guatamala in Ecuador are pleased to invite you to the conference and exhibition of Marimba music with the Marimba Femenina de Concierto which will be presented in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia from the 14th to the 26th of July.

The Marimba Femenina de Concierto fosters the identity of Guatemalans through the approach, knowledge and appreciation of their own cultural values. It also emphasizes the historical importance of women, encourages the coexistence of genres in favor of enhancing the spirit and it strengthens the intangible heritage of the nation.

The event will have two parts: first there will be a conference about the history of Marimba and then a concert by Marimba Femenina de Concierto with popular, academic and symphony music.
