From the 7th to the 10th of March, UPS professors from the branch campus in Quito attended a course titled "Ethics in business and new epistemologies in administrative sciences". The course was led by Carlos Nuñez, PhD, who made professors who teach management, leadership. Business administration, accounting and auditing reflect on the current panorama of administration from an ethical, sustainable and socially responsible perspective.

The 40 hour course was divided into four sessions; some of the topics were: epistemology and administration, philosophy and organizational analysis, social construction of knowledge and epistemologies from the south, debate about innovation and indigenous dignity seeking the truth.

Nuñez is renowned researcher, he is in a postdoctoral in Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico CIALC, holds a doctorate degree in Organizational Studies from Universidad Autonoma Metropolitano. Some of the books he has written are: "La marcha de la dignidad indígena como búsqueda de la autonomía", "Para una crítica de la ética de la empresa", "La genealogía como filosofía política en Michel Foucault", and others.

Tania Chicaiza, PhD, director of the Management and Leadership major, organized this event; she spoke about the importance of analyzing the topics in the course since it allows us to have a broader view of academic reflection and the work carried out in the field of administrative and economic sciences.
