Father Hugo Orozco, Regional Councilor and representative of the Rector Major of Salesians (Angel Fernandez Artime) visited our branch campus in Guayaquil.

Father Orozco was able to spend some time with the university community and transmit his passion for education. “The university must not only educate students to be good professionals, students must contribute to society with love, respect and kindness”, he said.

 
He also met with university officials, professors and students in order to strengthen the salesian environment at the university and reminded everyone that “everything must be done with love, not by force”. 

Juan Cardenas, UPS president, stated that it is important to strengthen ties between the university and salesians. “During the pandemic, Guayaquil was the center of the coronavirus. It was hit very badly and it now recovering; your visit unites the community even more and gives us the opportunity to work in benefit of society”, he stated.
