A graduation ceremony was held in our branch campus in Quito for 280 students who have successfully ended their undergraduate programs in business administration, biotechnology, accounting, management and leadership, communication, basic and early education, pedagogy, management of local sustainable development, psychology, mechanics, electricity, telecommunications, computer engineering and computer science. 

 

58 master’s degree students in business, communication, accounting, special education, electricity, electronics, industrial production and water resources also graduated. 

 

The ceremonies were presided by Maria Sol Villagomez, vice president of our branch campus in Quito; Esteban Inga, coordinator of the research department; directors of different undergraduate programs: Germán Arévalo, Patsy Prieto, Alexander Águila, Grace Moreano, María Elena Maldonado, Freddy Araque, Narcisa Medranda, Ana María Narváez, Ximena Andrade, William Quitiaquez, Patricia Villagómez, Lorena Guerrero, Miriam Gallegos, Diego Carrión, William Montalvo, Charles Cachipuendo.


 
Maria Sol Villagomez congratulated all the graduates and said “you journey does not end here, there are still more challenges to overcome in order to build a society with fewer inequalities and more opportunities for everyone”. Patsy Prieto, director of the computing undergraduate program, spoke about the university’s strengths to educate professionals with high academic skills and salesian values. “We are sure you will make this country better from each one of your fields”. 

 

Aldair Santos, who majored in telecommunications and stayed at the university dorms, said the university seeks to create spaces for interculturality, guide students and have a friendly environment.
