Five academic books were released

On May 9th five academic books written by UPS teachers were presented to the university community. "La obra religiosa" de Gerardo Diego (Verso y prosa)” written by Teodoro Rubio Martín; "Programación orientada a objetos de Java y UML" by Mauricio Ortiz and Andrea Plaza; "Sociología, Educación y Sociología de la Educación"   and  "Con José Martí: cultivar los sentimientos", both written Justo Pereda, and finally "En defensa de la lectura" by Augusto Rodríguez

Javier Herrán, UPS President, Andrés Bayolo Garay, Guayaquil Campus President, José Juncosa, Anthropologist and the Director of the Abya Yala publishing house – UPS; Luis Álvarez, General Editor at UPS, and the writers attended this event.

It was a pleasant and exciting ceremony to honor those who teach, and have administrative and service functions. They acknowledged those who have worked in this institution for 5, 10, and 15 years. And at the end of the presentation, those mothers who work at the university were given a present because of mother’s day.
