The UNESCO chair assistive technologies for inclusive education program in our branch campus in Guayaquil took part in the STEAM fair organized by “Unidad Educativa Vicente de Piedrahita Carbo”; an event for creativity and robotics in over 20 stands presented by students.

The university’s UNESCO chairs presented its project: “Information technologies for educational inclusion and innovation” which included 3 prototypes to strengthen the teaching of robotics.

Alice Naranjo, coordinator of the UNESCO chair, said “We are donating robots created at the university, using 3D technology along with electronic circuits such as Arduino Id, Arduino Nano and other components that facilitate students’ learning.”

The event was also an opportunity to promote active learning and student participation in the field of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. The presence of the Unesco Chair strengthened this purpose, demonstrating its commitment to educational innovation and inclusion
