To commemorate international women’s day, our branch campus in Cuenca organized a special program to discuss, reflect and celebrate women’s power, resilience and greatness.

There was a talk on the role of women in modern times; professor Miryan Loayza spoke about the challenges and achievements of women at work, professor Natalia Gonzales spoke about the role of women in science, and Luz Marina Castillo spoke about the challenges of leading an association.

Juan Cardenas, UPS president, and Fernando Moscoso, vice president of our branch campus in Cuenca, took part of this event and both stressed the importance of women within the university community.

The event not only recognized the essential role of women in today's society, but also stressed their strength, determination and invaluable contribution in all areas of life.
