Music, dance and tradition: Cultural Caravan
Music, dance and tradition: Cultural Caravan

Our branch campus in Cuenca held a “Cultural Caravan” which was made up of 120 students from different cultural groups from our three branch campuses – Cuenca, Quito and Guayaquil. This event has been held since the beginnings of the university and takes place every five years. This year the event took place in “Mirador Turi” located in Cuenca; there was dancing and music that everyone really enjoyed.
The aim of the Cultural Caravan is to take art and culture beyond university campuses and closer to society. This idea reflects UPS's commitment to society, promoting access to culture in public spaces.
As an essential part of Salesian identity, culture and art are fundamental pillars in the comprehensive formation of young people. Through the Salesian Groups, students not only develop their artistic skills, but also strengthen their sense of identity and belonging, key aspects in their personal and academic growth.
