National and international researchers attended ATICA 2016

Several academically renowned national and international speakers attended the International Congress on the Application of Advanced Information and Communication Technologies- ATICA 2016, where there were keynote speeches, practical workshops and presentations regarding the main topic of the program.
The opening ceremony was held in the university theater and was inaugurated by UPS president Javier Herran who welcomed everyone to the congress.
Some of the talks were:
- "Entrepreneurship and Innovation in universities" José Antonio Gutiérrez (Universidad de Alcalá)
- "The importance of videos in accessible virtual learning" Luis Bengochea, (Universidad de Alcalá)
- "Accessibility in social networks" Jose Ramon Hilera (Universidad de Alcala)
- "Repository of learning objects" Salvador Otón Tortosa (Universidad de Alcalá)
- "ICTs and disabilities" Roxana Castellano
- "The dimensions of access to education" Fernando Pesantez Aviles
In the closing ceremony, the university's vice president in Cuenca Cesar Vasquez thanked all the participants and congratulated the organizing committee. He also awarded the best projects on accessibility, first place was for Julian Romero Noguera, second place was for Diego Javier Chiluisa and Fernando Ortega Barros and third place for Jonnathan Berrezueta Guzman.
