Open House: Biomechanics; posture, movement and ergonomics
The physiotherapy major in our branch campus in Guayaquil invites the university community and professionals in the field to participate in an Open House aimed at fostering greater awareness of the interconnectedness between posture and movement in the prevention of musculoskeletal conditions and the promotion of long-term physical well-being.
Regarding ergonomics, optimizing the interaction between humans and their work or living environment is essential to minimizing physical strain, reducing fatigue, and preventing work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMDs).
More information below:
The Open House will provide models and posters to illustrate how ergonomic principles are applied in workplace design, tool and equipment selection, and safe posture and movement during everyday activities at home. By raising awareness about the importance of ergonomics, the goal is to encourage the adoption of healthier and more efficient work and living practices.
