Student mobility program “Doble Vía” strengthens students' education

Cuenca, lunes 7 julio 2025

The community engagement department in our branch campus in Cuenca held a meeting for the student mobility program “Doble Via”, which allows the internationalization of students from our university and the University College Leuven Limburg (UCLL) in Belgium. The aim is to strengthen academic and social cooperation through the exchange of experiences and activities that promote internationalization, intercultural education and social commitment.

As part of the program, students visited the city's iconic sites, toured archaeological sites, explored tourist attractions, and enjoyed Cuenca's cuisine. The activities provided an insight into Ecuador's rich culture and heritage, complementing their academic experience.

Professors and representatives from the Psychology, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Biomedicine, and Biotechnology Programs, as well as from academic areas at UCLL, took part in the meeting. They discussed experiences and activities related to raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals and about workshops for less privileged children and youth. They will work together with Fundación Salesiana PACES, Fundación Casa de los Niños, Fundación Crea tu Espacio.

The internationalization program “Doble Via” is part of the university’s commitment to provide comprehensive education with a global, inclusive and supportive vision to strengthen students’ education and professional profile.
