Talk on Constitutional Justice in Ecuador

The law undergraduate program in our branch campus in Cuenca and the constitutional court of Ecuador organized a panel to discuss the “past, present and future of constitutional justice” and the “origins of constitutional justice in Ecuador”. The event was attended by authorities, judges, professors and students.
One of the most important challenges of any society, in order to build its present and prepare for the future, is to recognize its past. In the case of constitutional practice, discussions tend to focus on challenges; however, all constitutional practice is part of a historical process, which has to do with the development of constitutionalism in a given society, therefore, this kind of events organized by academia are extremely important.
The speakers were Cecilia Alvarado, Carlos Vásconez, Ruben Calle, Carmen Corral, Daniela Salazar, Karla Andrade, Vicente Solano, Juan Francisco Delgado. “UPS is committed to educating ethical and socially responsible professionals. We are proud to be part of constitutional justice and pleased to contribute to the academic dissemination of justice”, said UPS president Juan Cardenas.
The university recognizes the importance of discussing legal and social issues with students.
