Talk on the application of quantitative methods in social studies

UPS-Guayaquil constantly supports its students' development. Therefore, on June 5th the social communication major held a talk on "The application of quantitative methods in social studies"

The speakers were Martin Oller, PhD in journalism, from Spain and Sixto Chang Armijjos, Master in foreign trade, from Ecuador. The aim of the talk was to analyze the scope and the application of quantitative methods in the development of scientific research in social studies.

Students and professors from several majors such as social communication, business administration and accounting attended the talk.

Sixto Chang also presented his research which included the results as well as suggestions that will create changes to benefit users that use of the "Metrovia". 

Oller, an expert in the field said "It is important to learn about the process from start to finish since Ecuador has been fostering research for a few years. UPS majors must develop scientific products that are beneficial and transcendental for society".
