The Abya Yala publishing house participated in the 2016 Book Fair in Guayaquil

The university's Abya Yala publishing house took part in the 2016 Book Fair which was held in Guayaquuil from the 7 to the 11th of September. The publishing house presented a series of social sciences books on anthropology, education, public policies, cultures and identities.
One of the most interesting books was the collection titled "Ciudades de la Gente" or cities for people. A book where over 60 researchers give information about men and women, who because of their culture, live in places that have been declared unsuitable to live in.
Some of the books we recommend have been coedited with Universidad Andina Simón Bolivar and the book is titled "Sumak Kawsay o Buen Vivir como alternativa al desarrollo en Ecuador", by Santiago García; with FLASCO there's the book "La feria 16 de julio de El Alto, Bolivia", written by Ramiro Rojas.
For people who are interested in the life of foreigners in Ecuador, there is the book "Situando los márgenes de la nación", by Chiara Piagnota, who writes about Italians in Ecuador or "Gertrudis" , the life of an extraordinary German woman in Ecuador. For books on Ecuadorian identity we have "Indigenismo e Identidad en Manabí", by Libertad Regalado
There are also books on archaeology, nature, culture and more. We hope to see you there.
