The higher university council named the new representatives that will represent professors, students, administrative staff and alumni in the university. The event was presided by UPS President Javier Herran and the general secretary, Anita Reino.

Here are the new members of the higher university council, student representatives: Irina Jaramillo Navarrete (UPS-Quito) and Paul Arevalo (UPS-Cuenca) are the main representatives and Carlos Castillo Yepez (UPS-Guayaquil) as a guest. The alumni representatives are Juan Muñoz Calderón (UPS-Guayaquil), the main representative and Erwin Jairo Sacoto (Cuenca), guest.

The administrative staff representatives are Humberto Rosero Zurita (Quito), Tatiana Andrade Pacheco (Guayaquil) and Jéssica Zuñiga García (Cuenca). Professors will be represented by Luz María Castillo, Flavio Quishpi, Paola Ingavélez (Cuenca); Germán Arévalo Bermeo, José Juncosa Blasco (Quito); Javier Ortiz Rojas, Christian Torres Medina, and Johnny Jiménez Contreras (Guayaquil). They will be in office for 2 years.
