Guayaquil, lunes 2 septiembre 2024

The modern dance group in our branch campus in Guayaquil celebrated its 15th anniversary with an event titled “Night of Stars” during the Salesian Cultural Wednesday Program. Students presented 11 choreographies that were inspired by contemporary artists.

Maria de los Angeles Andrade, director of the group was happy and pleased with the event, she said the event was not only meant to celebrate the group’s 15th anniversary but was also a tribute to everyone who has been part of its history. “This anniversary made us celebrate and reflect on everything we have achieved as a group. We awarded special recognitions to former members to show our appreciation”, she said.

The aim of the event was also to strengthen ties between generations of dancers, allowing current members of the group to better understand the legacy they are building. Diana Viteri, Psychology student and member of the modern dance group for two years, said: “I really enjoy dancing, we have been able to exploit our talents in the group. We hope more students join; this helps us increase confidence and build our soft skills.
