The undergraduate law degree in our branch campus in Guayaquil inaugurated its first hearing room which will enable students to conduct proceedings. The event was attended by judges, representatives of lawyer associations and university officials from our branch campus in Guayaquil. Maria Portaluppi, coordinator of public defender’s office, said “having information from books is not enough, being able to practice a hearing will help students gain the skills needed to perform as professionals.”

The new hearing room will allow students to carry out simulations and enhance their techniques. Byron Perez, director of the undergraduate law degree, stressed the academic and professional benefits of having the hearing room. “The university is becoming a benchmark in higher education, not only because we now have a modern hearing room, but because students will be able to practice and be more prepared for their future”, he said.
