To celebrate Inclusive Culture Day, the Unesco Chairs program "Support Technologies for educational inclusion", the Inclusive Education Research Group and the Education undergraduate program organized the event titled "I include myself because of my skills". The aim is to have a more tolerant and respectful university community.

Our branch campus in Quito took part in this celebration with activities like music, dance, poetry and theater. Pedagogy students presented the song "Marea de Gente" using sign language. The ballet group "Despertar Urcuyaya" made up by people from the university also held a presentation.

Tania Malisa, a student of Pedagogy and Sebastián García, student of Education, shared their testimonies about university life, the challenges they face and the skills they developed in academic spaces in the face of diversity. There was also a demonstration of dog skills with a guide dog, this was presented by Valeria Chung Lam and Patricio Torres, teachers of the Guide Dog School of Ecuador, who will give a guide dog to Valeria Analuisa, from the Psychology undergraduate program.

"As a university we want to contribute with relevant answers to the full range of educational needs, in these academic and extra-academic pedagogical contexts, in addition to integrating students in formative processes that fulfill the Salesian charisma and the preventive pedagogy of Don Bosco", said Patricio Benavides, academic coordinator.
