The UPS Artificial Intelligence and Assistive Technology Research Group presented results
The UPS Artificial Intelligence and Assistive Technology Research Group- GI-IATa, in Spanish, presented the results of the work carried out on inclusive education, training of special education teachers and technological innovation and development. UPS President Javier Herran, Universidad de Cuenca President Fabian Carraso, the former Escuela Politécnica del Ejército (ESPE) President Carlos Rodriguez and researcher Willi Morocho attended the event.
To start the ceremony Father Javier Herrán highlighted the work carried out by professors and students within their research groups and encouraged them to keep it up. Then, Vladimir Robles, the research group director, presented the results of the work done in 2014.
Professors and students presented their projects:
- Intelligent support system for language therapy. Presented by Daysi Arevalo
- The first observatory of web accessibility in Ecuador. By Paola Ingavelez, Fatima Lopez, and Vladimir Robles.
- Ecuadorian system of algorithm development to detect academic plagiarism. By Cristian Timbi and Diego Quisi.
- Good practice of applied technologies for children with hearing impairment. By Eulalia Calle.
To close the event, UPS-Cuenca Vice President in charge, Lorena Cañizares congratulated all the members of the research group and said their work will greatly benefit society.
