UPS, SENSE and the Municipality of Guayaquil held the first International Conference on Deafblindness

On September 8th, UPS-Guayaquil, Sense International and the Municipality of Guayaquil held the first I International Conference on Deafblindness.
The town councilor of Guayaquil, Luzmila Nicolaide attended the conference on behalf of Mayor Jaime Nebot; Elena Betancourt from the Department of Integral Education also attended.
The aim of the 3 day conference was to provide people, especially from Guayaquil, information about deafblindness and disabilities in order to improve family, education and social care by promoting inclusion in an effective manner.
During the conference there was also a workshop on topics regarding deafblindness and communication systems in order for people to be aware of the ways they could help improve social, public and private services in Guayaquil and Ecuador.
