The 4th International Congress on Auditing, Management and Business came to an end

The 4th International Congress on Auditing, Management and Business- (CIAGEN for its acronym in Spanish) which was organized by the business administration and accounting majors in Cuenca came to an end after two days of talks and presentations from 23 speakers from Chile, Bolivia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Brazil and Ecuador.

The Congress was inaugurated by Fernanda Guevara Segarra, director of the business administration faculty, on June 1st in the university theater. The university's General Vice President, Luis Tobar Pesantez, gave a thorough presentation of the country's economic situation, he then thanked all the speakers for attending the congress and asked participants to take advantage of this congress and learn more about business and economics.

The first conference was an analysis of the financing situation of SMEs in Cuenca in the year 2014, the speaker was Paul Pesantez. The next talk was given by Mauricio Pozo, he spoke about the current economic problems in Ecuador and presented some suggestions that could help improve this situation. He said it is impossible to reach high level of economic growth without the private sector and showed that there is a lack of active contribution from the private sector. He finished his speech by saying the only way for leading Ecuador out of crisis is by making suitable economic decisions.

In the closing ceremony, the university's vice president in Cuenca, Cesar Vasquez highlighted the conferences given by the speakers and congratulated the organizers. To end the ceremony, there were performances from the university's dance and music groups. The 5th International Congress on Auditing, Management and Business will take place in Bolivia.
