The fifth edition of the "Young Scientists" program came to an end

The university's branch campus in Cuenca held a closing ceremony for its program titled "Pequeños Cientificos". The ceremony took place in the university theater and was attended by university officials, parents and the children who attended the science program during October 2017 – March 2018.

In his speech, UPS president Javier Herran spoke about the students' effort to learn about electricity, mechanics, electronics and mathematics.

Fatima Lopez and Luis Calle, coordinators of the program, proudly ended another edition of the program which has now been carried out for three consecutive years. They awarded all the participants certificates and presented photographs of their work. 1,250 boys and girls have successfully completed this program since its beginnings.

UPS professor Geovanny Sagbay, said it is pleasing to attend such an event that recognized the work of children and young people to learn more about science and robotics.
