The "Paréntesis" theater group presented the play "Los Menecmos"

The "Parentesis" theater group in our branch campus located in Quito presented a new play titled "Los Menecmos" from the 18th – 20th and the 25th – 27th July.
The play, written by Tito Maccio Plauto, is about two twin brothers, Menecmo and Sosicles separated at a young age. The story begins when Sosicles, as an adult, returns to Greece to find his brother and that's when many things start to happen since they look very much alike.
The theater group is made up by Nicolás Carrera (Menecmo I), Jonathan Vásquez (Menecmo II), Daniel Enríquez (Mesenión), Juan Ledesma (Cepillo), Priscila Guerra (Cilindra), Scarlet Cisneros (Erotia), Camila Cárdenas (Victoria, mujer de Menecmo I), Karla Sánchez (Prólogo, Doctora, Pinche), Gisselle Jukka (Argumento, Meretriz), María Fernanda Suárez (Contadora, Viejo), Cristina Garzón (Meretriz, Vieja), Josué Gómez (Doctor, Pinche).
The costume design was done by Natalia Robelly, masks and puppets: Clara Bucheli, lighting: Germán Calvache, make-up: María del Carmen Calderón, stage designer: Juan Pablo Acosta and music on the saxophone by Liliana Zambrano.
The group is part of the University Salesian Association (ASU) and was created in 2014. It is directed by Professor Juan Pablo Acosta and consists of young actors and actresses of several undergraduate programs. They have staged works such as "The importance of being called Ernesto", by Óscar Wilde (2015), "Como agua para chocolate", by Laura Esquivel (2016) and the collective creation "Sometimes the rain is crimson" (2017). They have presented plays in Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca.
