On March 22nd the university and the National Sports Federation of Ecuador (FEDENADOR for its acronym in Spanish) signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement that will enable both institutions to work together to promote sports. The agreement was signed by Jose Arevalo, president of FEDENADOR, and Cesar Vasquez, vice-president of our branch campus in Cuenca.

Students and professors will take part in academic activities such as field trips, exchange programs and community engagement projects.

Cesar Vasquez said the agreement shows the university's and the physical education major's commitment to support sports. "The aim is that sports becomes an important part of students' integral education", he said.

Jose Arevalo said "it is important that students majoring in physical education develop their skills and can apply the things they are learning"

Finally, Franklin Ramón, director of the physical education undergraduate program, said all the necessary resources and academic guarantees will be provided so as to carry out courses and training sessions, and therefore comply with the norms established by the higher education council.
