Workshop "Computer-assisted drawing and advanced welding."
The Industrial Engineering undergraduate program in our branch campus in Guayaquil held the workshop "Computer-assisted drawing and advanced welding." The event was attended by 46 students specializing in Industrial Mechanics from Colegio Salesiano Domingo Savio. The aim was to provide participants with essential skills in the use of the Autodesk-Inventor tool, with a focus on the design of 2D and 3D elements. They also learned about GMAW and GTAW welding processes, with a practical and applied approach in the industrial context.
The director of the Industrial Engineering program, Fabiola Terán, stressed the importance of this activity and the impact it has on the educational community: "It was a great opportunity to make our cutting-edge technology known about and, at the same time, to motivate young people to consider Universidad Politecnica Salesiana as their place to study.
Professor Eduardo Cortez, in charge of the workshop, was glad students were able to use the Autodesk-Inventor tool. “Senior students from Colegio Salesiano Domingo Savio attended the workshop and strengthened their skills in computer assisted design and advanced welding, which will give them more and better opportunities in the industrial field”.
The university is proud to provide quality education in the field of industrial engineering; the work we do alongside other institutions demonstrate the university’s commitment with the community.
